The Path toward Unity: Wayfinder’s Response to the Election

As our nation stirs in the wake of another election, perhaps more polarized than ever, I am encouraged by the unity and love within our Wayfinder community.

Wayfinder has always been a place that invites authenticity and courageous communication, and because of that, we are a team that holds a beautiful spectrum of beliefs and perspectives. Every day, we come together to offer the best we have—to our teammates, to our clients, to their patients, and to our communities - our friends, families, and neighbors.

Today’s news might fill some with hope and others with hesitation, but here’s what we know: none of that changes who we are or what matters most to us. We are a community that unites around people and problem solving. Together, we’re changing the healthcare industry, one curious, committed conversation at a time.

One of the skills we’re most passionate about as a company is adaptive problem-solving. It’s the reason we can tackle unexpected challenges, from major clearinghouse outages to the ripple effects of a global pandemic. Adaptive problem-solving requires a curious spirit, a commitment to understanding context, and a mindset focused on solutions. It requires us to listen—deeply—to each other’s experiences, to define the real issues, and to keep conversations open and evolving. Each time we come together to solve a problem, we don’t simply commit to one answer; we commit to a path that allows us to learn and adapt as we move forward. It’s a process that invites every voice to the table, knowing that the best solutions often arise from a blend of our shared insights.

And this is how we’ll keep showing up for the next four years.

We’re leaning into hard conversations with openness, a dose of curiosity, and a genuine intent to find common ground. For so many of us, it’s felt safer to stay silent on the topics that divide us—thinking that avoiding hard truths somehow preserves our connections. But maybe the way to real unity isn’t in quiet detours but in creating spaces where it’s safe to speak openly, spaces where curiosity is welcome, and stories are invited.

Maybe the way to real unity isn’t in quiet detours but in creating spaces where it’s safe to speak openly, spaces where curiosity is welcome, and stories are invited.

What if we leaned in with the assumption that there’s good in each other’s intentions, making room for the experiences that have shaped us? If we can create those kinds of conversations—where listening runs as deep as the solutions we strive for—our connections would be all the richer. Maybe, just maybe, in four years, the conversation across our communities and nation will look different, strengthened by a trust that grows from choosing curiosity over division.

Thank you for being a community that is committed to listening well—holding space for what’s important to each other, and the experiences that shape our beliefs. Let’s stay united around the important work we’re doing together. Let’s keep dreaming big about transforming the healthcare industry. Let’s keep growing ourselves and encouraging each other. Let’s keep staying curious about problems and obstacles. Let’s keep talking about ideas. Let’s keep noticing the ways we are alike and celebrating the ways we are different. Let’s keep showing up for each other.

Let’s keep growing people who grow people.
